Assistant Professor of Communication/Integrated Marketing Communication
Canisius College is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate public relations and social media courses in our new Integrated Marketing Communication major. This position will also support the existing Communication Studies B.A. major.
This is a renewable term position, contingent on funding, to begin in August 2020 for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Our Bachelor of Science in IMC offers a fully interdisciplinary approach relying on courses from our Communication, Digital Media Arts and Marketing programs.
A master’s degree in public relations, communication, IMC or related field and professional experience is required. Ph.D. is preferred. Previous college level teaching required. Evidence of ability to teach introductory and advanced level undergraduate public relations and new and social media courses is required. Additional responsibilities include student advisement and a commitment to departmental and college-wide service. Evidence of scholarship and/or a research agenda is a plus.
