Assistant Professor of Endocrinology and Physiology

Canisius College in Buffalo, New York is accepting applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Biology, beginning fall of 2018.
The candidate will be expected to teach upper-level courses and labs in Endocrinology and Physiology, and one or more upper-level courses and labs in their area of specialty. The ideal candidate will also be expected to contribute to the introductory biology sequence.
A research program studying endocrinology / physiology and involving undergraduates is expected. The successful candidate will be expected to seek external funding to support their scholarship and develop and maintain collaborations. A PhD is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred.
The candidate should complement, but not duplicate existing expertise in the department, which includes: animal behavior/behavioral neuroscience, immunochemistry, microbiology, cellular neurobiology, cancer biology, higher plant physiology and biochemistry, primatology, evolutionary biology/population genetics, entomology/ecology, freshwater biology, and developmental biology.
